Coaches provide:

• Team name, age group, gender, and notes
• Player names, player codes, positions, and skill levels

2.3 Practice and Performance Data

Through use of the Service and connected devices (such as Apple Watch), we collect:

• Drill completion records (drill name, duration, repetitions, date/time)
• Practice session data (start time, duration)
• XP earned, streaks, and skill progression
• Homework assignment status and completion progress

2.4 Automatically Collected Information

When you access the Service, we may automatically collect device information, browser type, IP address, and usage patterns through standard server logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Create and manage your coach or player account
• Enable coaches to assign homework and track player progress
• Sync practice data between devices and the coaching dashboard
• Calculate player statistics, XP, streaks, and skill levels
• Send service-related communications (account verification, important updates)
• Improve and develop new features for the Service

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Between coaches and players: Coaches can view the names, practice data, and progress of players on their team. Players are added to a coach's roster by sharing their unique player code.
• Service providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service (e.g., hosting, authentication via Google OAuth). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
• Safety: We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary to protect the safety of our users or the public.

5. Children's Privacy

LaxCoach is designed for use by coaches and athletes of all ages, including children under 13. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

• Player accounts for children are created and managed through their coach. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental or coach involvement.
• Player data is limited to what is necessary for the Service: name (as entered by the coach), player code, position, skill level, and practice activity.
• Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to review, update, or request deletion of their child's information.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure password hashing
• OAuth 2.0 for Google authentication (we never see or store your Google password)
• Access controls limiting data access to authorized users

While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When a coach removes a player from their team, the player's data remains in our system but is no longer accessible to that coach. If you wish to have your account and all associated data deleted, please contact us.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
• Request a portable copy of your data
